How i became involved in Spiritualism
I am not what you might call a 'natural medium' but i have always been aware that there should be a deeper meaning to life than just the physical body.
I was in my early twenties when
My Mother persuaded me to go for a reading with a medium and i found myself astonished at the amount of knowledge she had of my family members who had passed some years earlier.
The medium totally convinced me she was talking to my Grandmother who had passed over years before. My Grandmother, through the medium, told me it was important to contact my Father who i had not seen for a lot of years, which I did, unfortunately he died shortly after but thanks to that medium I was able to let him know I missed him and loved him a great deal.
During the sitting the medium also told me I was to be a psychic artist and, not even knowing what this meant was told I would draw faces of people who had passed to the spirit world.
She then invited me to sit in her home circle, an invitation I quickly accepted.
During the next year I sat to develop Clairvoyance, in that time I was clairvoyantly shown a lot of pictures of faces, places and situations that were accepted by other members of the circle. A guide who has since become a great friend and helper gave me the information to pass onto other sitters.
When I finally did a drawing it was very crude in style but luckily some features were recognised as belonging to a relative of one of the sitters.
This gave me a tremendous boost which made me begin to beleive I had the ability to draw spirit people. I enrolled at a night school to study art which helped my drawing skills and my confidence.
Sometimes spirit friends show me a complete face - at other times just the eyes or nose - and times when I only feel the presence of my artistic guide and let him get on with influencing the drawing.
Most faces are recognised instantly some take a little research since they can be of distant family members, neighbours, old friends or guides. I prefer to ask for relatives to step forward to be drawn but ultimately the choice is left to spirit.
The portraits that give me the greatest proof of survival are the ones drawn when I have no idea what my client looks like. A lot of my portrait work is done by post where I need only a name address to send back the completed portraits.
